ACFO (formerly the Association of Car Fleet Operators) is a non-profit making organisation, constituted as a company limited by the guarantee of its Members. Governance is through a Board of six Directors and a National Council (the Directors, together with the Regional Chairs and Secretaries).

ACFO is the largest body in the UK representing the interests of organisations and businesses which operate cars and vans (sub-3,500kg) as part of their normal commercial activities. These are "fleet operators" whose own employees drive the vehicles.

Members are represented within ACFO by a named delegate, usually the individual who fulfils the role and functions of fleet or transport manager.
